About the Event

Nesting with Osprey is an in-house created exhibit that explores this unique raptor, whose name literally means, 'bird of prey.' The osprey are piscivores: a carnivorous animal that eats primarily fish. The osprey is unusual in that it is a single living species that occurs nearly worldwide, living on every continent except Antarctica.

Osprey build large, unruly stick piles for nesting, which can be seen along the Willamette River. From superb fishing skills to unique adaptations, check out this hands-on exhibit to learn more about the incredible osprey.
