About the Event
We couldn't be more delighted than to partner with Community Services Consortium to present our second annual Youth Art Show. The students embrace the theme and create art for this show. But, it isn't your average youth art show - the art is for sale!

National History Day® (NHD) is an educational nonprofit organization that engages teachers and students in historical research. The mission of NHD is to improve the teaching and learning of history in middle and high school through an innovative framework of historical inquiry and research.  Although the art created for this exhibit does not qualify to be entered in NHD contest, the theme and resources available, are invaluable to help the artists understand the importance of history and the art show's theme.
Â
NHD's contest theme for 2024 is Turning Points in History. This year’s theme invites students to consider questions of time and place, cause and effect, change over time, and impact and significance.Â
A turning point in history is more than just an important event that happened a long time ago. It is more than a new idea or a particular action taken by an individual. A turning point is an idea, event, or action that directly, or sometimes indirectly, causes change.
