Due to popular demand the "Radiant Rocks: Unveiling the Hidden Glow of Fluorescent Minerals" exhibit is being extended!
To celebrate, we are hosting a Saturday with Bob - a day to come learn more about the fluorescent rocks and minerals on display with the expert that helped bring the exhibit to life.
Step into the world of fluorescent minerals! Unlike common materials that reflect ultraviolet light, these minerals emit light from within themselves. On Saturday, June 15, 2024, Bob Oblack will be at the museum to answer any questions you might have about these fascinating natural wonders.Â
Bob is a member of the Clackamette Mineral and Gem Club and has been a self-declared rock hound his entire life.
Bob took his hobby to a new level after retirement and was instrumental in creating and bringing the Radiant Rock exhibit to life at the Heritage Museum.
The exhibit will be on display until July 6, 2024.Â
